What’s New at TheStartupist in January (and beyond).
It has been a fun and exciting few months since TheStartupist was launched. Over that span of time, TheStartupist has managed to turn out a few fun interviews with other like-minded entrepreneurs and business founders. We have also had the privilege to put together a collection of articles which are meant to provide help, advice, and perhaps a different perspective on entrepreneurship and running a new or small business.
What’s New in January
In January a few changes and new features, albeit small ones, were added and implemented on TheStartupist. The first addition worth noting is the Press Release service. We love to be informed, “in the loop”, of the founding of new businesses as well as cool changes in existing businesses. We want business owners, founders, marketers, and PR people to take advantage of the contact page and send in your news/press releases/anything you think we should know about your business.
The second cool addition that was added to TheStartupist was a co-branded Startups.com widget located in the right sidebar. Startups.com is a great question and answer site where you can go to get any business related question answered. The Startups.com widget allows you to browse current questions as well as ask a question you may have right from the widget – without even visiting their website. Feel free to take advantage of it while we continue to experiment with it here on TheStartupist.
Looking Ahead
As we look ahead to the next month we hope to continue to provide value through more articles, interviews, and features. At this point, TheStartupist is “sitting pretty” with about 50 subscribers. Compared to the other business focused blogs and websites this is a drop in the bucket, but it is 50 more than we thought we would have at this point. If you are a subscriber, thank you very much for your readership and we look forward to interacting with you further via articles, comments, twitter, etc. If you are not currently a subscriber, get with it and grab the RSS feed.
As we continue to progress at TheStartupist, we are looking to continue shaping and evolving. In addition to the regular articles posted, we would like to also like to take a sort of “newsy” direction, and add a bit of commentary to certain current events that relate to the entrepreneur/small business industry. While we are not quite well connected enough or big enough to break news, we can certainly attempt to add our opinion and some value to it. In addition, you can expect a bit more “aggregation” (summary and commentary) of content from other sources, because we read what else is out there and want to make sure you see it too when it is just that good.
Also, a new layout is in the development stages. This is exciting, but probably won’t be rolled out for a few more months now. So, keep your hat on.
Once again, thank you to those who have read, commented, and subscribed thus far. It really makes us feel like what we do is at least somewhat worthwhile. We really look forward to interacting with you and making the next 11 months of the year 2010 remarkable ones both for you and your business!
